Group Travel Account Executive

As a Group Travel Account Executive (AE), you will have the ability to determine your income within the exciting and fast paced world of gay group and individual travel by selling our travel management services. We are looking for a dynamic sales individual responsible for sales and client management worldwide. The position is home-based with possible travel to Prospect and Client locations. AE’s are outgoing and energetic with a personality to develop and close business opportunities. 


Our Clients are typically Non-Profit Membership groups run by volunteers who hold annual events geared towards the gay community. AE will be responsible for lead development and revenue targets. The ideal candidate will have excellent closing skills, excellent follow-up skills with a client service focus and a desire to earn based on production while creating long-term relationships with Clients. This position may require travel to Client sites to meet with Board Members and volunteers.


Detailed Tasks

  • Develop proposals using pre-defined service offerings
  • Generation leads and manage assigned leads
  • Present proposals via email, phone or in person
  • Manage sales process, and continue relationships after the sale
  • Communicate effectively with Prospects and Clients, responding to phone and email inquiries promptly and effectively
  • Effectively communicate with Sales Manager on a regular basis
  • Work closely with Sales Manager

Production Standards

  • Responsible for monthly, quarterly and annual sales quotas

Desireable Skills

  • An interest in gay group events
  • Experience as an attendee at gay group events
  • Interest in the hospitality industry, including hotels, airline, auto rentals and function meeting space coordination
  • Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
  • Must be a self starter who can self motivate
  • Ability to develop and manage leads
  • Ability to close sales
  • Experience in the travel industry is preferred, but not required
  • Creative solution thinker, who can offer Client alternatives and solutions
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to develop long-term relationships
  • Excellent computer skills and interest in online networking

Location

  • AE will work from a home office location
  • Travel to meet various organization Board members or decision makers
  • Travel to Headquarters to meet with Sales Manager may be required occasionally

Compensation

  • Commission based upon sales
  • Free and reduced travel incentives, such as airfare and hotel at Client or Prospect events
  • Bonuses based upon Client retention and growth

Standards and Goals

Account Executive will have annual goals set for performance and continued engagement as an Independent Contractor. These goals will be set annually by the Company and communicated in December of each year for the subsequent year.
